“At KODi, I particularly value the trust in my work, the streamlined decision-making processes and the team spirit.”
“The KODi trainee programme requires a hands-on approach and involves working on lots of exciting projects. If you’re proactive, motivated and interested in a career in retail, this is the right path for you. From day one, I was able to handle my own projects and thus take on responsibility. In day-to-day work, it is extremely motivating that new ideas can be taken forward quickly thanks to efficient decision-making processes. I can always rely on my colleagues because we get on really well together as a team.”
Tell us, Niklas …
I already knew KODi well before the trainee programme. During my studies, I often bought stationery and various utensils for my apartment there. I came across the job ad on a jobs site and applied straight away.
The application process went smoothly. I was able to apply for the position online and soon received feedback and an invitation to an initial interview with the management of the online shop.
In the second interview, I presented the result of a task that I received in advance, so I was able to prepare well for it. At the end of the second interview, I received final acceptance for the trainee programme.
However, the process may vary from department to department.
Online retail is dynamic and characterised by fast, often day-by-day decisions as well as technical innovations.
My role is to optimise the user experience for our customers in the online shop. Various analyses help me to identify appropriate recommendations for action in order to satisfy customers. I am also responsible for ensuring that all technical processes function flawlessly and carry out various projects independently.
The freedom and the trust placed in me and my work are what I value most about my job at KODi. Right from the start, I was able to work on projects independently and then implement them quickly and easily thanks to the streamlined decision-making processes. In addition, there is a great deal of team spirit amongst the colleagues at KODi. Everyone listens to each other and is happy to help if someone has any questions.
KODi offers motivated applicants a wide range of development and advancement opportunities. Thanks to the flat hierarchies and streamlined decision-making processes, it sometimes feels like working at a start-up, which I find very refreshing.
The trainee programme is, amongst other things, about developing and ‘thinking outside the box.’ In this way, you may also be able to discover areas of responsibility with which you had not previously had any contact. Just be open-minded and you will have a lot of fun at work!
You can see the results of my day-to-day work when you browse the KODi online shop. I am now working as a creative shop manager, so I am focusing on design-related topics within the online shop. I also make sure that the technical interfaces of back-end systems work, which has a direct impact on the user experience in the shop.
