Trainee programme

Done with your studies? Why not become a trainee at KODi next?

Whether you’re based in store or at head office, you will be encouraged to put your existing knowledge to good use and keep on gaining more work experience during our trainee programme over 12 to 18 months.

We give you the chance to work on a variety of tasks and get involved with exciting projects as a trainee at KODi. You can rest assured that your colleagues will be on hand to help you with your professional and personal development.

We only take on trainees when we have enough vacancies because we like to offer all our trainees a realistic chance of being offered a permanent position. This is why you will find that the start dates for our trainee programmes vary. Most of our trainee positions crop up in Sales (e.g. Trainee Sales Manager) and Buying Management. So we recommend that you keep an eye on our vacancies.

You need to have completed your vocational training or studies in the relevant subject area if you want to apply for a place as a trainee. You will receive confirmation that we have received your application after you submit it. The HR department and relevant team will check over your application in great depth. We will invite you to an online introductory interview or we will let you know that you have been unsuccessful. If that first interview goes well, we will invite you to a second interview at our head office in Oberhausen.

If you show your commitment and complete the full trainee programme, there is a chance that you will be able to stay with us for the next stage of your career.

Come and explore the fast-paced world of retail with us! We are look forward to receiving your application!

Still not sure if a trainee programme at KODi is the right path for you?
Why not have a read of what Sarah, our Social Media Trainee, has to say.

“I love the mutual trust, efficient decision-making process and opportunities to share my own ideas most.”

As a Social Media Trainee, I was given responsibility and allowed to work on my own projects from the word go. I find it so motivating that new ideas can be taken forward quickly on a day-to-day basis because the decision-making process is so efficient. I can always rely on my colleagues because we get on really well together as a team. Everyone at KODi is so friendly and I feel respected and valued.

The KODi trainee programme requires a hands-on approach and involves working on lots of exciting projects. If you’re proactive, motivated and interested in a career in retail, this could be the right path for you.

Hi Sarah!
