The KODi head office in Oberhausen is our strategic hub. Here’s a quick overview of all the departments based there:
In the Category Buying Management department, everything revolves around products. The work is varied – there’s a lot more to it than just goods sourcing. This department works closely with our suppliers based all around the world and colleagues in the Master Data and Logistics departments.
Our colleagues in the Marketing department are the creative brains behind the KODi brand. They are responsible for creating the weekly brochures as well as all of our promotional materials and packaging designs. The team in charge of communications works hard to make sure that our brand image is consistent and takes care of public relations too.
The Online Shop team ensures that our customers can shop the huge KODi range from the comfort of their own homes 24/7. The weekly KODi newsletter is sent out to keep them up to date with all the current offers and promotions.
The Visual Merchandising department makes sure that our products are presented nicely in a way that works for our customers to create a special shopping experience at KODi. They set specific layouts to help the staff at our branches implement our concept to perfection.
The Data and Stock Management departments are responsible for keeping our branches and online shop fully stocked at all times. Much like the Category Buying Management department, this team works closely with our suppliers in Europe and Asia as well as our Logistics department.
We rely on our Quality Management team to put every product through its paces. The staff in this department know all of the applicable standards and regulations inside out, making them the perfect people to enforce our stringent KODi quality standards.
The team in our Building and Property department works hard to maintain our KODi branches and update them in line with the latest store concept. They are also responsible for expanding our network of stores and opening new branches.
The digital transformation and process optimisation are big buzzwords in the world of retail. Taking care of project management, databases, system development and tech support, our IT department makes sure that KODi can keep up with the digital world of today and tomorrow.
Our colleagues in the Accounting and Controlling department have a way with numbers. They keep an eye on all the figures – from the daily operations to complex analyses.
Our Auditing department makes sure that all our internal processes are running smoothly and efficiently at our branches and head office.
The HR department is always there for our employees, taking care of everything from recruitment to training, admin and payroll. There’s a dedicated point of contact within the team for each of these aspects.
Our friendly Customer Care team is always on hand to help out our customers with their questions and concerns.
Our colleagues in the Sales Management department are the link between the branches and our head office. They plan out and coordinate all the processes for the stores, acting as a central point of contact.
We have roles at all levels at our head office, from apprentices, admin assistants and project managers to specialists and leaders.
Teamwork is at the heart of all that we do here at KODi. We work closely together at our head office on the basis of flat hierarchies, effective communication and efficient decision-making processes. And modern offices with air-conditioning and free fruit and water come as standard.
Joining our head office team
When you start working for KODi, you’ll follow an induction plan tailored to you in line with your requirements, experience and role.
You’ll start off with an introduction to your department at our head office in Oberhausen. This will be followed up with opportunities to meet and get to know other departments you’ll need to work closely with. Whether you’re heading up a department or working on admin, your induction process will include a placement in one of our stores for a week or two.
